Keep an eye on things here. We'll share details with you when other groups pick up the series we unfortunately left dead in the water. There's also a handful of scripts that we have sitting around that need typesetting, so we'll share those here in whatever form seems appropriate (hopefully we'll get them typeset for a last couple releases, but who the hell knows). I'll be doing something as well, I'm not entirely sure what, but the main reason I'm going on haitus is because I can't handle dealing with all the bullshit of running a group anymore right now, so either I'll be packing up a few series and joining up with another group so that they can handle the stressful end, or I'll learn photoshop and fly solo, not really sure which. Whatever happens, you'll find out here. Lastly, any groups interested in picking up something we were working with should request raws from WOWscans@gmail.com

NJManga has been aggressively soliciting some of the series we were working with, and it looks like so far he's gotten Prunus Girl and several of the Waai series picked up already. NEEDLESS is already picked back up by the guy who was doing it via Pewpew, I think as a solo venture using js06's scripts.

Unfortunately here at WOW!scans, we have to take a break for a while, I know this is sort of a late announcement but this has actually been the best opportunity to come out and say it. We all seem to be getting burnt out, we have been understaffed for a long time now and it seems like the stress has finally gotten to us. Now this isn't to say that sometime in the future there won't be WOW!scans activity but as for now and the near future, sadly you shouldn't expect much from us. WOW!, Another Long Wait Rewarded!

Not much Gon-chan in this chapter, but it is fairly exciting, as the archery competition draws to a close (think one more chapter to wrap it up, judging from how this one ends). The next chapter is in typesetting already, and the chapter after that is partially translated already, so it shouldn't be as long of a wait this time around (no hard and fast etas though, working with another group makes it hard to promise stuff). Also, I didn't realize until just now, but this is the first chapter in the second volume, so we'll get the extra stuff from volume one all sorted out and get a volume batch uploaded here soon.

WOW!, Prunus Girl at Last!

So yeah, we kind of fell off our game on Prunus Girl, and each chapter was a few days behind, until this one ended up pretty far behind the mag release. There's always a silver lining though, as Prunus Girl doesn't have a chapter for July, so it kind of just ended up spreading out that month of haitus over the past 3-4 releases rather than having a full extra month break all at once. Or something. Anyway, there's two-three Kaichu! chapters nearing release, three OtoBoku chapters in typesetting, and the next Mei chapter is >50% translated, so prepare your bodies.

WOW!, One Down, More to Come!

The long awaited ending to Usagi Drop is finally here! Chapter 56... well... I just don't think it was nearly as well written as most of the series, it makes me wonder about the circumstances surrounding ending the series so suddenly. Just for clarity's sake, I'll let you know that there is a two year time skip between chapter 55 and chapter 56, the chapter doesn't even make that terribly clear unless you're paying attention. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it, and look forward to eventual releases of the spin-off manga, either when public raws appear for the magazine releases or when the volume release comes out and we buy it.

Also, we've got that one-shot I mentioned a while back. It took a little longer than I expected, since the editor working on it wanted to make sure all the color redraws and stuff were up to snuff before we released it. We didn't bother including a credits page for this one since it's so short that it seemed silly, (page number wise - there was still plenty of work that went into this one, especially in the editing side) but I did the scanning and translation, and GayRobot did the editing.

Yeah, I know it's been a long wait guys, I'm sorry. We had holic working on this series, then he quit, then when I was going to take it over, someone else quit, dumping a lot more shit in my lap. We now have a new translator working on it, but he's new to all this, so it takes him a little while to get a script ready, and then it has to go through a TLC pass, so expect a slow but semi-regular release pace on Near Equal again. Usagi Drop ch 53 is 95% of the way ready to release, but our TSer had people arrive at his house a few pages away from completion, so it'll be out tomorrow (possibly ch 54 as well, depending on if/when WCW_TL gets the script formatted and passed over to us).

The Past Future joint is out (meaning yes, SazaCherry is coming soon as well), the sequel to Me and Kawase is out, and chapter 5 of Anal Angel is out. OtoBoku 15 got some fixes for text being mispositioned, and Kaichu! ch 8 got a v2 for a missing page (a chapter starter page - the public raws we're working with until we hit volume three are scanned two pages to an image and got split up improperly by chapter in places).

WOW!, All the People Who Had Doubts About Us Being Back Sure Feel Dumb!

I think I'll do this post in an order based on which stuff I think people were anticipating the most. 4 releases and a v2 of that Sensei no Boku chapter tonight.

First, Prunus Girl. Since this one was delayed a bit due to my whole travelling thing, the next chapter is only a couple weeks away. This chapter brings an end to the Shion/Kana arc, and I think the conclusion was really well done. Maybe seeing the way things wrap up will convince people to whine a little less about their story taking up time in the chapters.

Next, we have the next installment of Kaichu!, in which the battle between Sanno and Kadokawa kicks off!

Following up, we have chapter 6 of Maid in Japan, which is just as off-the-wall ecchi as the previous chapters.

Finally, we have another release from the first Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru series, chapter 15. I'm really thinking we're going to do something along the lines of a joint project to help that group that does the second series stop putting out stuff that looks like absolute trash.

And then, wrapping things up, we have the Sensei no Boku chapter one version 2. This fix is pretty minor, that missing bubble was due to the fact that someone took three bubbles worth of information and put them into two bubbles (they did the same thing elsewhere, but we caught it). The version 2 release will look prettier in that one spot, but there isn't anything changed in terms of dialogue or story.

No, we aren't dead. We've had a million staff quit without saying anything though. We also haven't heard from the typesetter/cleaner who was supposed to have our releases ready almost a week ago. Prunus Girl should be ready soon, since it's only me and Koizumi that work on that, so no one can fuck us over on it. If you're frustrated by the delays recently, feel free to volunteer to help us out, that's the only way things are going to speed up (well, they will speed up anyway, simply because I'm out of classes, but translation scripts without cleaners and typesetters won't really get things moving terribly faster).

Note from Koizumi:
If you want to be a cleaner for us, please do not send us an example using a crumpled up page that is taped together. If you do so, you'll be lucky if I let you get away without me insulting you or pointing out your bullshit publicly (pic related). Don't worry I won't mention your name, but you know who you are. Also please be good, I really can't be there to hold your hand through the whole process. Being able to redraw would be appreciated so that everything isn't on my shoulders as well.

Alright, three releases for you tonight (right after that double release, too!). First up is Reversible! chapter 4. I'm never in a terribly big rush to push out the Waai stuff even though you guys think you want it right away, because now it'll be 2-3 months for the next chapter :/
Second is the first chapter of NEEDLESS from the gap in scanlation, chapter 29. this is also the first chapter in volume 5, so there's color pages and a volume cover to go with this one.
Last but not least, the fourth chapter of Balance Policy. The next volume of Change H has already been announced (they held off on announcing RED until the last minute, then they announce this one pretty early, idk what's up), so hopefully Hikarism returns and we get a new chapter of Balance Policy as well.

Anyway, Prunus Girl is a pretty good chapter this month, but some of the pages look unfinished, most likely due to the earthquake and all that. Yup, that's right, chapter 89 of NEEDLESS already. Not really sure what the hold up on Anal Angel and Reversible! are, I'll yell at the people responsible. Anyway, this chapter brings up back to being caught up with the current releases in Japan, so we'll do chapter 29 next, working towards filling the translation gap. The pacing on filling that gap is entirely up to js06, the translator we're working with on this project. I'm about halfway through translating the new Prunus Girl chapter, and there's good news and bad news. It's a pretty good chapter so far, but it looks like Tomoki didn't get it finished in time, and there's some pages that are obviously unfinished pages from the name. Not really anything we can do about that, so try to enjoy it despite those issues when we release it.

So, something slipped past our QC on chapter 87, so here's a v2. Chapter 88 out already, and chapter 89 is on it's way! As far as filling in the gap, we have a script for chapter 29, so I'm guessing js06 is willing to work on fixing that, but I dunno what the release pace will look like. We'll keep right up with whatever he gets translated for us though. In terms of how picking up NEEDLESS affects our other projects: little to no effect. This is one of the many reasons I was excited to pick it up. Since translators is what we're short on and this project came with a translator, it's pretty easy to work in without fucking up our release pacing.

You may have noticed (probably not) the quiet announcement that we're picking up NEEDLESS. No one's really sure why Pewpew hasn't been doing much lately, but it's been quite a while and the translator (js06) decided to open up his scripts to whoever wanted them, and we talked to him about us picking up the project with him. This is the first of three catch-up chapters, chapter 87. 88 and 89 will be out ASAP, and then we'll be on a monthly release schedule with the magazine it runs in.

I guess I'll introduce our two releases, and then talk a little about our projects, what's going on, what the hold up is on some things, and all that.

First up tonight is Mei no Naisho ch 9, another perfect example of everything I love about this series. It's also got a second trap, another male or two in the story, and some other stuff that might win over some of the folks that complain that they don't like the fact that it's all girls...

Second for tonight is a hentai one shot (it ran in a commercial magazine if I'm not mistaken, so 'doujin' would be an inappropriate label) that I can only really categorize as transformation, even though that's not strictly what happens. It's gender play, but it's really hard to describe what goes on without just summarizing the whole thing. This is our second project where Ranma-kun from Farhad's TG forum worked on the script, and the first project we've had kusion from [gg]/UTW do some TLC for us. Collaborative work is always fun!

Alright, so here's a quick rundown of what's going on by project:

Houkago Play - dropped. Woxxy and Foolrulez are picking it up, so bother them about it, not me

As you can see (I skipped over some projects that are irregular releases or whatnot, ask if you're wondering about something that didn't get mentioned), we had two translators flake on us, or at least one flake and the other go incommunicado. Be patient, I'll do my best personally to keep everything moving along, but definitely keep in mind the fact that we're recruiting...

We've got a joint release with Hachimitsu scans for you today, it's the second chapter of Otomegokoro. Interesting news from Hachimitsu this time around, some other scan group picked up Kuragehime out from under him, skipping a few chapters to pick up where the anime adaptation left off... this kind of stuff is why our raws are private - I never mind collaborative projects, but just hijacking a series and skipping a few chapters like that is in poor taste all around. WOW!, It's Time for More Waai! Already!!?

Alright, so as the title mentions, the new issue of Waai! is out, and we've got the non-manga portion scanned and ready to share already. Sazanami Cherry and Past Future are scanned and ready for the joint work with Hachimitsu, and Secret Devil-chan is on its way to my scanner to raw provide for Soba. Suzunone is waiting to be scanned as well, DEB is the joint on that one and is progressing at a slower pace than the others, so be patient. Reversible! and Otokonoko Tokidoki Onnanoko are in-house as usual, and will come out sometime soon as well. There's also a new one-shot, we'll see whether that turns out to be in-house or a joint, I'm not really sure yet.

WOW!, It's Been Quiet Around Here!

Well, I don't know what to tell you about our releases slowing down over the past week, since literally everyone has been busy. We're still alive, we're still working on all the stuff you expect us to be working on, real life just made its presence known for once. Anyway, on to Maid in Japan chapter 5. This series is pretty ecchi/fetishy, and it isn't getting tamer, so if you don't appreciate the content in this chapter I'd say to go ahead and stop reading this one since there isn't any point reading something that turns you off. Other than the fetish stuff, there's plenty of plot going on in this chapter though, so those of you who like MiJ will probably enjoy this one.

WOW!, Change H Raws and the First new Oto Nyan Release!

So, I know it's short, but this Oto Nyan one shot is gorgeous just like Wadapen's contribution to the first issue, so it's our first release this time around too. Not too much to editorialize about with this one, since it's so short.

Change H Red came out about a week ago, and we finally finished the scanning and uploading process so that we can make all the stuff we won't be translating public. We're holding back a couple of one-shots (Me and Kawase got a sequel one-shot, and so did R.B.I, so we'll be doing those) and the new Balance Policy chapter. Everything else is in there. Also, I did do cropping and rotation fixes on these, so they're a little nicer for people who are snagging them just to look at, rather than to use for scanlation. On that note, someone cleaned up the Green and Purple scans, so we've got a reupload for those that's a little easier on the eyes as well.

Alright, there's a lot going on tonight, so take it slow and let's just go step by step.
First we've got Hikarism ch 2, from the more recent Change H. Honestly, this should have come out a while ago, but it got held up in cleaning due to the cleaner on this project having some real life stuff he had to prioritize, and then the same thing happened in typesetting. Anyway, now that it's out, who cares about that anymore, go read it!

After that, we have the scans of the new Oto Nyan for you! Like last time, we're making everything except the manga public right off the bat. Of particular interest in the set we put up is that udk did an illustration for the gallery again this time. Some comments about the manga however - it looks like this magazine is a little like Change H in that some ongoing series will take an issue off, since some that should have continuations aren't in this issue, also, Docchi is only four pages this month. In any case, the content looks pretty good this time around (a little more to my taste, last issue had some stuff that was a little whorish for my liking, really). It's a two part archive.

Alright, so, first up, we've got more Anal Angel. Again, the dialog in combination with the expressions is hilarious, and we decensored the delicious penises (not my opinion, they are delicious by canon within the story, so there) again. There's also plot and character development this chapter, which is always both nice and a little strange in your porn. An ongoing story was one of the reasons we picked this up though, so it's nice to see things progressing.

The other release for tonight is a biggie. It's our first solo volume completion (we've finished other stuff where other people left off, but this one's ours from start to finish)! Mei no Naisho chapter 8 and the extras, available both on it's own and as a volume batch download! This chapter's more on the comedy/fanservice side, it almost seems like it alternates the more plot/character development chapters with ones like this. Still a lot of fun, and there were quite a few places I really enjoyed working with the dialog, since there were puns, a book being read aloud, and all kinds of stuff this time.

Alright, since some of the new joint work is starting to make progress, I feel a little more comfortable throwing out series names and stuff since it's less likely to die before release. First up is Houkago Play, I'm helping out an alliance of anons with some translations on the second volume... I sent off the script for the first chapter this morning, but since I haven't worked with them before I have no clue what that means for a release ETA. I'm also doing some work with a group called 4-Koma Scans on a series called Imouto wa Shishunki. This one really reminds me of Seitokai Yakuindomo in a lot of ways. The translations for some of the earlier chapters are kind of spotty, but I don't think it's really worth going back and redoing, at least not right now. Expect mirrors of the earlier parts of these and spots on the projects page along with the first releases.

Just as a matter of keeping you all in the loop, too, we'll have new Prunus Girl around the end of the month, provided it actually runs in the magazine this month.

Another exciting project coming up is completing the OtoBoku manga (the first series), since the new anime being announced kind of rekindled the fanbase's interest and reminded everyone that the scanlations never ended up getting finished.

Well, we've been thinking about the release schedule for this one, since it's a 4kmoa... After batting around the idea of daily releases of a page (two 4koma strips) at a time for a while, I kind of realized that we don't want to lock ourselves into a release schedule that makes it easy to let you guys down if something comes up on our end, so we're going to just go ahead and do typical chapter at a time releases with this one. Anyway, now that I bored the shit out of you - This is the first chapter of a series called Near Equal. Like I said, it's a 4koma (although it starts off with a more traditionally formatted intro piece). It's an interesting premise, pretty funny, and like I said, I'm not sure how to categorize it~

Well, after this there's only... three chapters in total left from Waai, as long as I'm not miscounting somewhere... First up for tonight, we've got the first chapter of the last series from Waai to be translated, Suzunone (two of the three remaining Waai chapters are from this series). This one's a joint release with DEB. We'll be continuing the joint work on this series with DEB and we're going to do a one-shot called Nonono with them as well, so look forward to it.

The other release tonight is something I'm terribly sorry for the delays on... Reversible! ch 3. We had someone offer to help us, move back their ETAs, etc, and it just kind of became a mess. We finally ended up just doing it without their help, so here it is. First is one of the last remaining bits of Waai, a one-shot called 'A Trap Can Also Use a Girl's Weapons." The age differential in this one makes it feel a little like porn, since the interaction's a bit different from what I've gotten used to seeing in Waai... Expect the last few things from Waai to trickle in, we've got a joint project sort of thing on some of it, and one last chapter on the back burner. Oh yeah, and Reversible! ch 3 probably tomorrow night (someone tried to help us, and it didn't work out, causing that one to get gummed up in the works for a while, sorry guys).

So, the top image there is this month's Prunus Girl. Seriously. After waiting impatiently for GanGan Joker to make it through the snow delays and the xmas mail delays, that's our Prunus Girl for this month. To make up for it, we've got chapter 0 of our new hentai manga series, Anal Angel. This one's by the same guy that did Moho Love, but it's all/nearly all traps in it (I think there's one non-trap male character in it, all the rest are traps - no trap on female action). Since there was a full tank's worth of raws floating around and I really like this guy's art (his dialogue tends to be kind of odd though, ass you'll see), I figured why the hell not. So, some people seemed to be curious about what was up with the bans. We caught a NSFW ban for the dump (this chapter is SFW, the only thing even questionable is male nipples and groping which is concealed by clothing). The warning came about when we remade the thread with an explanation in the OP that the chapter was SFW. He sounded buttmad to me, idk. The ban from irc came kind of unexpectedly, I was being pretty civil, and they didn't seem to like my assumption that the mod was new or didn't know how to enforce /a/'s rules consistently, apparently, and kickbanned me without any warning. WOW!, Change H Raws Do Exist!

Alright, so being aware that Change H raws get hard to find at times, I did a couple things. First I organized and reuploaded the first three volumes. Then, when I scanned our copies of Green and Purple, I separated out the stuff we're going to work on, and uploaded the rest. Two things to note on the Green and Purple raws. First, the scans are untouched - they are in the same shape as if I were handing them to our cleaners, no cropping, no resize, no anything. With all the scanning left to do, it didn't seem like a terribly valuable use of time, since I am absolutely stupid at image editing, even cropping can take me quite a while. If someone ends up going through and sprucing them up and would be willing to let me swap out the ones in the share folder for something more reader-friendly, let me know. The second thing is: By posting these raws like this, I'm kind of hoping some of the stuff we don't end up translating gets picked up by some other group so that you guys get more content in total - However, these raws aren't quite public, if you do use them for a scanlation, please credit NJManga for the raws.

Well, some people expressed interest in the parts of Waai other than the manga, so I scanned those parts like I did back when Oto Nyan came out. The scans are fairly raw, I didn't do much other than crop them, but they're fairly high res, so do what you want with them. Before anyone asks, no, we aren't going to do anything with the light novel that's being serialized in the end of the magazine (at least not in the foreseeable future. WOW!, What a Week!

Well, I know I told some people we'd probably have a release last night, but there were some hold ups... Instead, to make up for it, tonight's a triple release! With this chapter, Onnanoko Tokidoki Otokonoko is caught up to the Waai releases just like Sazanami, meaning it'll be a longish wait for the next chapter to come out. Fudanshism isn't something we're likely to pick up permanently or anything, but someone happened to have produced a translation script, and asked us if we'd get it all cleaned up and ready to release, so there's chapter 12 of that for any fans (that series has terrible luck, I think we're the fourth group to put out a release on it, and some of the wait times have been pretty bad between chapters - sorry, but it still isn't terribly high on our list though). Last but certainly not least, we've got Kaichu! chapter 4 for you guys. If you couldn't tell, recruiting went pretty well, and we should be able to keep up a higher pace for the foreseeable future (probably not like this week, which is looking like it might hit 7 or 8 releases if things keep going the way they have been, but much quicker than we've been in the past). We've got more Waai and Oto Nyan stuff in the works, and a Mei no Naisho chapter to come pretty soon as well (no promises on how quick, it's 42 pages so typesetting might take longer than usual).

Forgive the memetic title this time around, I'm uninspired and it's a double release night. First up we've got something some people have probably been waiting a long time for, the third series from Waai that The Energy Trade scanlated one chapter of and then dropped, Onnanoko Tokidoki Otokonoko. We aren't closing down... We are going to head into recruitment, since apparently Yamada being busy cripples everything. Here's what we're recruiting for:

Cleaner:
You know, I'm much more concerned about your ability to meet deadlines than your technical skill for cleaner applicants. We have two chapters that are more than two weeks overdue right now, and that just isn't cool.

Distro:
Basically, distro people just have to be around when the chapters get finished and handle getting them listed on mangaupdates, dump them on the various sites we like informing of releases, and stuff like that.

Translator:
Don't bullshit us on this one. Either you're good enough to translate manga, or you aren't. Some of our series do have furigana though, so if you think you're borderline, we can try starting you on those series.

At the moment, I end up being our only translator, our raw scanner, our distro, and our administrator. Basically, next week we're going to have meetings to try and spread this stuff around a bit more so that me being busy doesn't necessarily mean no releases for you guys (particularly, we've got an administrator/coordinator to try and enforce deadlines when I'm not around). Hi everyone, my name is Kano and I just finished reformatting the site into something easier to navigate, and hopefully more visually appealing to the eyes. Not only do I visit sites for independent artists very often, but I also happen to enjoy anime once in a while so I readjusted the layout to something I always found 'easy', so you can remember where everything is all the time. I'm not completely finished-- I have a feeling one or two things here and there can be done to make this easier, but unfortunately Blogspot limits my design a bit, so please bear with me. As far as navigating to find posts and news, I have limited the front page to 3 of the latest articles, due to the loading time and inconvenient page length that the 'show all' option gave. Please remember that the archives are located to the right of the news column and the news archive is right underneath, it shouldn't be anything complicated. Finally, I gave the 'forum' button on the navigation bar its very own button because I felt it did not belong in the Contact section; and since Blogspot didn't offer any external redirection, I had to do it myself (not hard, but annoying). Other than this, I have left many 'features' and 'widgets' unchanged for anyone who felt they might be necessary, or just found them appealing. I do not personally frequent the releases WOW!Scans happens to release; however, I'm sure the staff here would appreciate any donations or visitors in the IRC channel, so please give them some encouragement, I know for a fact even one 'thank you' can go a long way.

Alright, since I'm behind, I figured you might want an updated idea of where we're at.

Overdrive 41: It's all my fault, but I'm behind on coursework as well, so it's not that I've forsaken you, I'm just fighting a cold or flu or something that's trying to happen, and real life kind of got in the way this weekend.

Past Future 2: The first of our joints with Hachimitsu. Handed all of our parts over already, look for something soon.

Reversible 2: Cleans are ready, translator on that one's running a little behind the schedule he quoted me. Should be soon, in any case.

Shiki: Yeah, we're picking it up. Hoping to find a dedicated translator to work on just this series, we'd like to fill in that 6-8 chapter hole in the translations as quick as we can.

Everything else is patiently waiting its turn in the queue. If you have questions about when we'll do the next chapter of a particular series, you can always email me or post in the forums.

I'd like to get Overdrive out during the week if I can, but it's likely that class will be a factor that prevents it. Either way, I have a five day weekend for Veterans' Day, so expect OD 41 and at least one other release to come between now and next week's classes starting on Tuesday.

Alright, so as promised, there's a bunch of stuff coming out today. Before I line them all up in a row for you, business first. Depositfiles is shit, and their payout scheme is deceptive as hell. Do me a favor and click on the ad on the side once in a while, and maybe we'll wind up just going with the adsense or occasional donation drive type stuff. This part is important only if you care if you care about me staying in a good mood: go ahead and ask when stuff will be out, or why there are delays. Do not decide that since I said something would 'hopefully' have the script done at a certain point, you should just bitch and moan that the finished chapter isn't out yet. If you want to know why it isn't here, when it will be here, whatever, just fucking ask, it's not that hard to be a little more polite about it. If we have time, we work on stuff for you guys, if we don't, we don't. The sort-of quad release tonight and the tentative two more releases by the end of the weekend should show that. Don't forget that we have an IRC channel, a message board, and an email address, all of which are better places for questions and snarky comments anyway.

Depending on how much attention you pay to the trap scene, you may have known that it was about time for the new trap quarterly, Oto*Nyan to show up. Within the next few days (directly following us finally releasing Kaichu! 3), we'll release a few of the shorter manga stories (there's a couple 4 page stories and a couple 12 page stories) to give you an idea of the content in this magazine before we start working on anything really long out of it, especially since everything looks to be ongoing series, too. Raws for all the stories we decide we aren't working on will go public pretty quickly, keep an eye out here or at Desuchan, or just ask about them.

WOW!, We've Been Slow This Past Week

Yeah, yeah, I'm aware Kaichu! chapter 3 is behind schedule. It's at about 25% done on the TL side, and the cleans are already waiting, so it should come out as soon as I scrape together enough time to finish the translation. Stupid real life getting in the way and such. Anyway, Prunus Girl chapter 18 is out first, for a variety of reasons. The first and foremost being that this is our flagship series, and has a lot more readers waiting on releases. The second is that it's easier to translate, and I knew I could get it done in one night so we'd for sure have a release before my school week starts again tomorrow. We're starting the depositfiles stuff to hopefully start bringing in some effortless raw money. If you really hate depositfiles, check the mediafire archive in a week or so, I'll be mirroring everything after the initial wave of downloads passes for each release. Mangafox shouldn't be getting chapters uploaded until a few days after the release now, since the traffic on that site is so high, I figured it'd probably be good to route it past our adsense shit and through the despositfiles downloads for now and see how things work. If anyone sees releases posted over there within three days of our release here, let me know please. Also, we'll have a v2 of Kaichu! chapter 2 along with the chapter 3 release. I've been bad about getting to that email, so if that individual that sent me the email is reading this, thanks for catching my slip-up, and feel free to do so in the future as well (the late hours I usually translate during aren't too bad, but I may miss a word and screw up based on contextual cues like that again ;;>_>)

Alright, business out of the way, this is a pretty fun chapter. Some of you might still be disappointed that Aikawa isn't the focus this time around (he's in it, but probably only about half the time, the chapter's about their class president), but I got a kick out of it.

WOW! Something Unexpected!

I know we're moving a bit slower than you (or we) would probably like, but sometimes personal life, family, and school kind of eat into time that I'd otherwise use for stuff like this. Anyway, what we've got for today is a special side story chapter for Prunus Girl (it's pretty short). The next real chapter should come out in the 10/22 issue of Gangan Joker, so hopefully this tides you over till then. Other releases will come out as they come out, I'm not even sure what kind of schedule to estimate at the moment (it might speed up from the current pace, or slow down, who knows).

Wow! It's a Double Release! (Kind of...)

Alright, as it says up above, we have two releases tonight, but one is pretty short. The first release is our first Mei no Naisho release, and it's the color extra chapter from the beginning of volume two. Hopefully this helps get everyone excited about the new project! I'll get some links for the old scanlations of the first volume up for you guys before we get a real chapter release.

Alright, as I'm sure you've noticed, we're tinkering with the layout. Bear with it, I think it'll lead to a better site overall. Newswise, I have a few things that are worth mentioning.

Alright, last on the agenda: WOW!'s schedule and whatnot. I'm still hoping we can work our way up to two releases per week, but I'm completely out of the picture from Tuesday to Thursday with how busy classes are. All that really means is that we need to settle into a groove where I'm getting one script done Friday night and one done Monday night, which I think is doable. The group that was doing Maid in Japan and then stopped for over four months just released chapter 3... I think we'll go ahead on plan on still doing this series, what we'll probably do is release the newest chapter, regardless of who did the previous chapters - ie, if we did a chapter right now, it'd be the fourth one, if they then did the fifth, we'd skip to the sixth - they have 6 translators and we only have one, I'm not interested in an e-peen contest over the series, but I definitely want it to get completed for the sake of the fans. I think we'll get something in the 'about us' page about our tentative schedule and such, and keep it updated, so that I don't have to clog the front page with these kinds of updates...

Yup, it's the second chapter of Kaichu!, it's about a day behind when I was thinking we'd get the release out, but it's close enough, right? It looks like we'll be getting our first batch of raws for Maid in Japan and Mei no Naisho tomorrow afternoon, so look forward to those entering the release rotation in the very near future. Next up will be another chapter of Over Drive, hopefully by mid-week so we have enough time to cram in a second release of something or other during the weekend. That's super tentative at this moment though... WOW! It's News and New Series Info!

All right, there's kind of a lot going on, so I figured I'd throw this up as a news post rather than wait and clutter up the Kaichu! release post later (chapter 2 this weekend, hopefully).

First, there's the run down on what we're going to be working on project-wise:
Prunus Girl
Kaichu!
Over Drive
Mei no Naisho
Maid in Japan
Possibly Waai stuff, possibly Oto*Nyan stuff, possibly Change H stuff

Basically, we're going to have raws coming in to cover the entire Maid in Japan series, and some of the raws for the ongoing stuff... We already have the public raws for the entire Over Drive series too! The ideal release schedule for my translation pace is two chapters per week, we still lag a bit on the cleaning step though, so if you feel up to pitching in and doing some cleaning, jump in our IRC channel and help us out!

Since I just talked about that, it seems logical to move on to the finances bit next... As Koizumi pointed out already, we added AdSense shit to the sidebar, and we'll probably start toying around with using depositfiles for some of our uploads, just to cover stuff like magazine subscriptions and takoban raws. You can also donate via paypal if you're so inclined (someone was asking about it, so I set one up): WOWscans@gmail.com is the email address it's tied to, so go wild.

Just as an aside, I'm starting classes on Monday, so there might be a bit of a lag in releases while I get my schedule all sorted out, but I doubt it, since the TL phase is typically the fastest step for us.

Alright, now down to some business, I apologize for not being as eloquent as Yamada is with words so bare with me. Let's see, I put some notes somewhere... what did Yamada want me to say? Oh! Here we go.

So we enabled some ads, we aren't too sure exactly how this shit works so we'll be playing around with it for the next month or two sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Also by the time we release the next Prunus Girl, we might switch to depositfiles. Now this is just to cover the cost of more raws for Prunus Girl, and don't worry in case we do wind up switching we will keep updating the mediafire and our megaupload backup, they will just be behind the depositfiles one by about a week.

Also we have this voting survey thing in the sidebar, we are always willing to listen to our fans' input so please vote, now we aren't going to always have surveys up because we're not fags that always need them up like "IS EYEKAWA HOTLULZ!?! XD" "YES" "YES" "NO I'M A FAGGIT" so what little surveys we have are important and will be considered in our work. We will have more stuff coming as well thanks to NJMANGA (I'm pretty sure that's it) who will be providing raws for us. And because of this we are still actively looking for cleaners!
