New things.

The new domain is 14BiQ.com

Alright, so the decision has been made on how to structure things moving forward, and that includes a new domain, so please follow the redirect link to our new site.

We will continue to host WOW!scans stuff, let us know if links go dead (on the new site, not here).

Four projects are a go at the moment. We would like to pick up one more motivated editor (cleaner/typesetter).

New name, some new(old) staff, some old projects. Keeping things smaller this time around.

Definitely feel free to get in contact with us. Probably going to avoid the whole IRC thing because it ends up feeling like a chore, but I do like the staff blogs thing, I like being connected with the consumers we're serving; possibly I'll try and come up with more ways of getting in touch than just email and blog comments, I dunno. Keep an eye on my blog and/or the new site for that as it unfolds.

I dunno, I said some more personal/specific things on my personal blog, I'll probably continue the additional transparency and un-official discussion over there, as I've resolved to post more anyway. Keep an eye on it if that's something you care about.

Blah.

Watch for major changes to the site (I think it's productive to keep the same URL for a new team, since we'll keep the WOW! stuff hosted on a tab or something). Same Yamada, somewhat new team, several of the old WOW! projects getting picked back up, very soon. Also, looking for one experienced editor who's confident enough to do the decensors on Anal Angel.

Where things are going from here.

Keep an eye on things here. We'll share details with you when other groups pick up the series we unfortunately left dead in the water. There's also a handful of scripts that we have sitting around that need typesetting, so we'll share those here in whatever form seems appropriate (hopefully we'll get them typeset for a last couple releases, but who the hell knows). I'll be doing something as well, I'm not entirely sure what, but the main reason I'm going on haitus is because I can't handle dealing with all the bullshit of running a group anymore right now, so either I'll be packing up a few series and joining up with another group so that they can handle the stressful end, or I'll learn photoshop and fly solo, not really sure which. Whatever happens, you'll find out here. Lastly, any groups interested in picking up something we were working with should request raws from WOWscans@gmail.com

NJManga has been aggressively soliciting some of the series we were working with, and it looks like so far he's gotten Prunus Girl and several of the Waai series picked up already. NEEDLESS is already picked back up by the guy who was doing it via Pewpew, I think as a solo venture using js06's scripts.

WOW!, We actually are on hiatus.

Unfortunately here at WOW!scans, we have to take a break for a while, I know this is sort of a late announcement but this has actually been the best opportunity to come out and say it. We all seem to be getting burnt out, we have been understaffed for a long time now and it seems like the stress has finally gotten to us. Now this isn't to say that sometime in the future there won't be WOW!scans activity but as for now and the near future, sadly you shouldn't expect much from us. So until further notice, see ya guys later.

Your pal,
Koizumi's Pimp Hand

WOW!, Another Long Wait Rewarded!

Not much Gon-chan in this chapter, but it is fairly exciting, as the archery competition draws to a close (think one more chapter to wrap it up, judging from how this one ends). The next chapter is in typesetting already, and the chapter after that is partially translated already, so it shouldn't be as long of a wait this time around (no hard and fast etas though, working with another group makes it hard to promise stuff). Also, I didn't realize until just now, but this is the first chapter in the second volume, so we'll get the extra stuff from volume one all sorted out and get a volume batch uploaded here soon.

WOW!, Prunus Girl at Last!

So yeah, we kind of fell off our game on Prunus Girl, and each chapter was a few days behind, until this one ended up pretty far behind the mag release. There's always a silver lining though, as Prunus Girl doesn't have a chapter for July, so it kind of just ended up spreading out that month of haitus over the past 3-4 releases rather than having a full extra month break all at once. Or something. Anyway, there's two-three Kaichu! chapters nearing release, three OtoBoku chapters in typesetting, and the next Mei chapter is >50% translated, so prepare your bodies.

WOW!, One Down, More to Come!

The long awaited ending to Usagi Drop is finally here! Chapter 56... well... I just don't think it was nearly as well written as most of the series, it makes me wonder about the circumstances surrounding ending the series so suddenly. Just for clarity's sake, I'll let you know that there is a two year time skip between chapter 55 and chapter 56, the chapter doesn't even make that terribly clear unless you're paying attention. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it, and look forward to eventual releases of the spin-off manga, either when public raws appear for the magazine releases or when the volume release comes out and we buy it.

Also, we've got that one-shot I mentioned a while back. It took a little longer than I expected, since the editor working on it wanted to make sure all the color redraws and stuff were up to snuff before we released it. We didn't bother including a credits page for this one since it's so short that it seemed silly, (page number wise - there was still plenty of work that went into this one, especially in the editing side) but I did the scanning and translation, and GayRobot did the editing.

WOW!, Just One More to Go!

Alright, so we've got a few things tonight. We've got the second to last Usagi Drop chapter, as well as the Change H WHITE raws and the raws of the OtoNyan vol. 3 extras.

WOW!, Almost Done~

That's right, more Usagi Drop. This is chapter 54, which means there's only two more left, not counting that spin-off stuff in the works. The one shot I mentioned earlier is still in typesetting, so it'll be out soon.

WOW!, More and More Bunny Rabbits~

Yup, more Usagi Drop. Chapter 53 now, chapter 54 within the next 24 hours. I've finished a bunch of scanning, so by the end of the weekend I should have the Change H White raws to share as well as the extras from OtoNyan vol 3. We'll have Wadapen's usual gorgeous full-color short from this OtoNyan out today probably.

WOW!, That Series Still Exists!?!

Yeah, I know it's been a long wait guys, I'm sorry. We had holic working on this series, then he quit, then when I was going to take it over, someone else quit, dumping a lot more shit in my lap. We now have a new translator working on it, but he's new to all this, so it takes him a little while to get a script ready, and then it has to go through a TLC pass, so expect a slow but semi-regular release pace on Near Equal again. Usagi Drop ch 53 is 95% of the way ready to release, but our TSer had people arrive at his house a few pages away from completion, so it'll be out tomorrow (possibly ch 54 as well, depending on if/when WCW_TL gets the script formatted and passed over to us).

WOW!, Little Girls and Little Boys Who Look Like Little Girls~

So, tonight we have two chapters for you. First up is the second of our Usagi Drop releases, chapter 52. The other release is something we've made you wait too long for, and I'm sorry, but it's finally done: Reversible! chapter 5. Also, I forgot to announce the fact that our joint release on Sazanami Cherry came out a while ago...

WOW!, It's Not a Trap!?

Alright, you may or may not have heard, but the group that was finishing off Usagi Drop ran into some trouble, so we'll be helping WCW_TL bring you the last 5 (I think it's five...) chapters. Tonight we've got 51, we'll have 52 for you probably tomorrow, and it should just keep rolling along pretty quickly like that. Reversible! chapter 5 is in typesetting, Prunus Girl is in translation and cleaning, we have another one-shot in the works, Mei is at bat, and we've got a few interesting surprises in store too.

WOW!, Yamada's Finally Home~

Yeah, for anyone that was bitching about the delays and such, or just wasn't paying attention, I was down in California for the last month and a half, going to Fanime and Anime Expo, visiting family, and just having a sort of vacation in general. Now I'm finally back at home though, so things should run a lot smoother again.

We've got two releases tonight, we've got more in the works and some other fairly exciting announcements as well, so wash your necks and wait.

WOW!, Now Everybody Should be Happy!

Well, everyone except the Mei no Naisho fans, but that's next on the agenda anyway. We've got two v2's and 3 releases today. The Past Future joint is out (meaning yes, SazaCherry is coming soon as well), the sequel to Me and Kawase is out, and chapter 5 of Anal Angel is out. OtoBoku 15 got some fixes for text being mispositioned, and Kaichu! ch 8 got a v2 for a missing page (a chapter starter page - the public raws we're working with until we hit volume three are scanned two pages to an image and got split up improperly by chapter in places).

Last but not least, the last chapter of Yubisaki Milk Tea is out:

I've got a random picture (yeah, I'm excited for Natsume season 3, what of it?) to accompany a really random assortment of stuff for you. I've got some Yubisaki updates for you (someone reminded me, I had forgotten to get the updates for a while), and some of the extra stuff from both Waai and OtoNyan.

WOW!, All the People Who Had Doubts About Us Being Back Sure Feel Dumb!

I think I'll do this post in an order based on which stuff I think people were anticipating the most.  4 releases and a v2 of that Sensei no Boku chapter tonight.

First, Prunus Girl.  Since this one was delayed a bit due to my whole travelling thing, the next chapter is only a couple weeks away.  This chapter brings an end to the Shion/Kana arc, and I think the conclusion was really well done.  Maybe seeing the way things wrap up will convince people to whine a little less about their story taking up time in the chapters.
Prunus Girl ch 24 DDL

Next, we have the next installment of Kaichu!, in which the battle between Sanno and Kadokawa kicks off!
Kaichu! ch 9 DDL

Following up, we have chapter 6 of Maid in Japan, which is just as off-the-wall ecchi as the previous chapters.
Maid in Japan ch 6 DDL

Finally, we have another release from the first Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru series, chapter 15.  I'm really thinking we're going to do something along the lines of a joint project to help that group that does the second series stop putting out stuff that looks like absolute trash.
OtoBoku ch 15 DDL

And then, wrapping things up, we have the Sensei no Boku chapter one version 2.  This fix is pretty minor, that missing bubble was due to the fact that someone took three bubbles worth of information and put them into two bubbles (they did the same thing elsewhere, but we caught it).  The version 2 release will look prettier in that one spot, but there isn't anything changed in terms of dialogue or story.
Sensei no Boku ch 1v2

WOW!, Springing Back to Life with a Ton of Releases!

As the post title implies, we have a bevy (five) releases for you tonight, we've got three more on the way. Everyone who posted encouraging stuff while we were on a somewhat forced haitus, thanks a bunch. Everyone who posted rude stuff, fuck off, we don't owe you shit and you should get over yourselves.

Anyway, on to the good stuff. First up is two chapters of something from OtoNyan that's been sort of on the back burner for a while, Sensei no Boku. Femdom, teacherxstudent, sukumizu+ZR, all kinds of interests and fetishes are addressed by this one.

Sensei no Boku chapter one: http://www.mediafire.com/?cs6wyree14fpwh8

Sensei no Boku chapter two: http://www.mediafire.com/?z7qqq7uc5zckbu6

Next up, the next installment of the original OtoBoku series. Someone remind me in like a month and a half to buy raws for the group doing the second series, the shit they're doing raw-wise is fucking atrocious.

OtoBoku chapter fourteen: http://www.mediafire.com/?w58d7kjc0324gt5

Finally, NEEDLESS chapter 34 and 91. This was the stuff that frustrated me the most that it didn't get done, since me being busy should have very little to do with this series getting cleaned and typeset. Oh well, it's out now, so just enjoy the releases. Also, chapter 34 is where one of the gags I really like comes in, Disk printing out data.

NEEDLESS chapter 34: http://www.mediafire.com/?8x8m8w7rtdddrv7

NEEDLESS chapter 91: http://www.mediafire.com/?rf6xav6d6x5yvdu

We Aren't Dead

No, we aren't dead. We've had a million staff quit without saying anything though. We also haven't heard from the typesetter/cleaner who was supposed to have our releases ready almost a week ago. Prunus Girl should be ready soon, since it's only me and Koizumi that work on that, so no one can fuck us over on it. If you're frustrated by the delays recently, feel free to volunteer to help us out, that's the only way things are going to speed up (well, they will speed up anyway, simply because I'm out of classes, but translation scripts without cleaners and typesetters won't really get things moving terribly faster).

Note from Koizumi:
If you want to be a cleaner for us, please do not send us an example using a crumpled up page that is taped together. If you do so, you'll be lucky if I let you get away without me insulting you or pointing out your bullshit publicly (pic related). Don't worry I won't mention your name, but you know who you are. Also please be good, I really can't be there to hold your hand through the whole process. Being able to redraw would be appreciated so that everything isn't on my shoulders as well.

WOW!, I want to have a sweet pompadour too

So here we go everyone, some more OverDrive. I didn't actually read this myself because I've been busy, but somehow I was the least busy to be able to post this. So, without reading this I'd say expect to hear talks about bikes and see people riding bikes in this chapter. Also I like this pompadour dude's style. Just check him out.

Overdrive Ch. 44

Also,

To all you jerks who voted "No" on the poll, you guys are lame and will never be as awesome as me. Deal with it.
