WOW! It's the First of Our New Projects!

That's right, we picked up Kaichu!  It's an archery club manga with a trap in it, and it already gives me a little bit of the same vibe as Prunus Girl, so be sure to check it out!  We started from chapter one, I know DEB released the first chapter already, but if you read that one you'll know why we started from the beginning.  Hopefully within the next 4-5 days we'll have another new project getting its first release too...  keep your eyes open for it!  It's kind of an exciting time with WOW! right now, since we've pretty much gotten all our plans sorted out, and we ended up hooking up with a very generous raw provider, so things should start moving a little more quickly around here and there should be lots of good stuff coming out!

Also, as sort of an omake...  We were talking about Type-Moon and their mollusk references, and talked one of our friends into writing something sort of in parody of that.  It's called "Fate Shell Night," and it's kind of an... interesting... way to kill ten or fifteen minutes:

(Any Fate Shell Night fanart would be appreciated, he seemed to be pretty embarrassed about the whole thing...)

  2. I thought Kaichu was just a one shot O_o
Well, can't be worse than the Anime was (though that was largely because it was like ~10 minutes total).

  3. This series is GAR, in it's most true and original form.
(And by that I mean we're gay for archer)

  5. I saw this and immediately wanted it translated. You are the only group which I would think would do it.

  6. Pfft, seems like this MC would be more upset by him looking like girl than being a guy..

    Thanks for the release.

  7. FUCK YEAH!
Thank you, i wanted to read so badly this manga!

Goozaburo really a guy? Or it's a reverse trap?

  8. Well, we see Fudou in the flashback bit as a guy, and then he shows up in the present day as a girl, so my assumption was that he decided to crossdress/live as a girl once he got to high school - note the fake breasts that fall out towards the end of the chapter. All bets are on male trap.

The comment earlier about the 'one-shot,' that's how Kaichu! debuted, back in... 07, I think it was, and then sometime last year it started up as a serial in Weekly Young Jump.

The 'sex with a trap' guide won't be getting translated by us any time soon, mostly because it would be such a huge time commitment (look at the pics, it's practically a novel inside, text-wise), and we'd rather release a bunch of manga chapters per month than spend a month or two just working on that one book. If raws do show up at any of my sources though, expect to see them shared here.

  9. Yeah, i also think it's a real trap. But i think it'll be funnier, if Goozaburo will be a girl, not 'just' a trap...

  10. Thks u D:<

    But what is your name?

    "FudoU GonzaburoU" or "fudo Gonzaburo?

    xD?

  11. It's "Fudou Gonzaburou," long vowel on the ending of both. I suppose you could write it differently somehow, but I use traditional romanization by phonetics.

  12. well in my opinion to the first comment i though was rude cuz i can appreciate that u correct and probably did super well job in the first chapter but just cuz other group did many bad spelling or didnt look so clear it doesnt mean that can be judge cuz thanks to them many people who die to read this did enjoy cuz its better understand bad english than japanese and more importantly this its free to the fan if u want some decent wait for few year to be translate if u have the luck and buy...im not critic to this scan group im very happy for u hard work in each project its just soo un fair to judge some group just cuz dont have the experience, the helps or the time to make it better even when nobody paid for that...thanks god exist people like myself that can appreciate even the worst group just to enjoy a good manga cuz even some good books never get to be translate.

  13. I'll go ahead and publish that last one, because I think it is appropriate to appreciate people's efforts even if they turn out less than amazing, but keep in mind that with that 'anything's fine as long as it's translated at all' mindset, groups lose the prompting to put in the effort to do a proper job of cleaning and QC'ing, and it can also make translators feel like sloppy translations are appropriate. It's fine to appreciate everyone for their effort, but it's also fine to appreciate the groups that do a better job for doing a better job, since most groups are motivated by the appreciation of the community as much as by anything else. I'm not going to let this turn into some raging argument though, which tends to happen online when people call each other's comments 'rude,' so I probably won't publish any further comments about the quality difference between the two versions of the chapter.

  16. Actually, I wanted to get in touch with you about a bunch of stuff DEB... I meant to do it before we did anything with Kaichu!, but stuff got kind of hectic, sorry. Send me an email at WOWscans@gmail.com, I've got a few things to talk about, and blog comments are a shitty way to hold a conversation.
