WOW!, Amazume & Color Pages!

Alright, one more one shot from the Change H stuff we got in a while back before the new issue comes out.  This is from Amazume of Nana to Kaoru and Boy Meets Girl, Girl Meets Boy fame, and it's got the lead color pages from Change H Purple.  This was a back burner project for a long time, but now it's ready, and I know you'll enjoy it!
Kawase, Me, and 'That Thing' One Summer DDL

Some stuff is in the works, more Anal Angel and Mei for starters, but that surprise and GayRobot stepping down have still got the image editing side of our process a bit bottlenecked, so be patient.  We've also got a few more joint projects coming through, so keep an eye out for those too.  Another exciting project coming up is completing the OtoBoku manga (the first series), since the new anime being announced kind of rekindled the fanbase's interest and reminded everyone that the scanlations never ended up getting finished.

  1. Just curious, in the future will you be releasing the entire translated Change H anthologies in full (all chapters in each anthology)?

Doubtful. Change H stuff tends to be a fairly high level of Japanese (as far as manga goes - lots of slang, harder kanji than lots of other stuff we work with, etc), and there's lots of stuff in there that really doesn't appeal to me personally... we'll work on any of the stories our staff are interested in, but I doubt we'll come near doing the whole thing, there's plenty of other manga to keep us from getting that bored.

It's not that something in there disgusts me or something, it just doesn't positively affect me to the point where I want to spend a bunch of time working on it. Accomplice looks interesting but the art is unappealing, Entrans has nice art and looks interesting story-wise, but it's all big titty shit once whatever initial TG stuff happens for the setup is out of the way, etc. Where things are at right now, before the next issue comes out, there's a total of somewhere near 1400-1500 pages of Change H stuff, and not 100% of it tickles our fancy enough to work on - it's not that we hate a bunch of it.

  7. Wow great drawing and interested storyline. It's there a second chapter to this? Or it that it.

  8. That's a shame about Entrans. That seems to be the most interesting story from Change H, imo.

Nope, it's a one-shot. I'm sure he could continue from there, but I think it wraps up decently.

Well, I was using that one as an example... Entrans in specific, we have a copy of the vol 1 tank release, and I'm going to sit down and look at it from the beginning and see whether I think it's worth working on. We'll see what happens with that title, but the point was that not everything in Change H is going to be a good fit with our group, kind of like how there isn't a group out there that scanlates Gangan Joker or Shounen Sunday in it's entirety.

  10. I agree with you about the titfest that En-trans! has become. The tanko storyline isn't the same as the chapters in Change H! though which is kind of weird. There is another chapter appearing in Red, the next Change H! volume coming out soon.

  12. I was looking at the cover image of Red again and I think the Amazume story in the forthcoming anthology will in fact be a followup to the Kawase/Jun story in Purple which we all thought was going to be a one-shot. The cover illo for Red shows Kawase on the right and Jun (somewhat, ahem, modified) on the left for one thing. Straining my eyes I think the title of the story under Amazume's name reads something like "Boku to (string of blurred kanji) no Boku" which has the same sort of pattern as the first story's "Natsu to...Boku to Are". We'll find out in a few days, I suppose.

  14. The Shonengahosha webpage for the Change H! series has finally been updated and the Amazume story in the forthcoming Red anthology is titled [ボクと川瀬と女のボク] which means it will be a followup to the Kawase story as I thought.
